Winnipeg Humane Society
Winnipeg Humane Society is dedicated to protecting animals from suffering and to promoting their welfare and dignity through a variety of programs including adoption of unwanted and abandoned animals, humane education for school aged children, animal protection services and advocacy work on behalf of animals. The shelter provides a temporary home for approximately 8,000 to 9,000 animals every year regardless of age, illness and behavioural problems.
