BMO supports WSPA through the BMO WSPA MasterCard
Every time a purchase is made with the BMO WSPA MasterCard a payment is made to WSPA from BMO Bank of Montreal. These funds help WSPA carry out its life-saving programs around the world. To date the BMO WSPA MasterCard has generated over $150,000 to help alleviate animal suffering.
WSPA & LUSH Handmade Cosmetics - Working together for orangutans
In 2009, LUSH Handmade Cosmetics (www.lush.com) supported WSPA's work with Borneo Orangutan Survival (BOS) and the Nyaru Menteng sanctuary through the sale of a WSPA branded Charity Pot. This was part of an initiative to promote the use of palm-oil-free products through a campaign called "Wash Your Hands of Palm" that was promoted in LUSH stores across North America from August 7-27, 2009.
WSPA is a recipient of a Google Grant award.
The Google Grants program supports organizations sharing Google's philosophy of community service to help the world in areas such as science and technology, education, global public health, the environment, youth advocacy, and the arts.
MATT & NAT has launched samsara - their newest line of vegan bags, wallets and clutches.
For every bag sold in 2009, samsara donated one dollar to one of four charities: WSPA, the Canadian Women's Foundation, Earthsave Canada, and Enough. The donations were divided among the four charities based on votes from the public cast via the samsara website. 1,731 votes were cast for WSPA, raising an amazing $22,007 for animals!
WSPA and The Body Shop make animals matter during World Animal Week.
In 2008, in honour of the planet's animals, The Body Shop supported the Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare (UDAW). In addition to all the great things they've already done for animals, they promoted the UDAW to The Body Shop customers across North America in store and online at www.makeyourselfbeautiful.org.
